We sell software that does your work. So it might seem strange for us to write down the things we will not let it do. We think it is the most important thing we can say. An AI company that will not tell you where the line is does not have one.

Walle will not run your layoff. It will not deliver the bad review, end the vendor relationship of ten years, or tell someone their project is being killed. Not because it cannot string the words together. Because the entire point of those moments is that a person cared enough to be in the room. Automate that and you have not saved time, you have sent a message, and the message is that you could not be bothered.
Some work is slow on purpose. The slowness is the respect.

The AI can lay out the options, model the tradeoffs, and tell you what it would do. It will never make the call that decides what kind of company you are. The pricing that squeezes a customer who is already struggling. The growth tactic that is clever and a little dishonest. Those are not optimization problems. They are you, deciding who you are.
Why an AI company is the right one to say this
It is easy to be precious about human connection when you do not build automation. It is harder, and more honest, when you do. We see exactly how much can be automated, which is why we take seriously the small set of things that should not be. The goal was never a company with no people in it. The goal is a company where the people are doing the parts that needed a person.
